Update 12/27: Dondi White silk-screens presale date extended until January 1st

FYI, I have decided to expand the presale date until Noon, PST on January 1st since the hand silk-screened sleeves are taking slightly longer than expected to print.

The editions are done, chopped, and numbered and just waiting for the sleeves to be finished.  The cardboard sleeves are looking great and truly worth that extra effort and time. The “D5” and “Rain Proof Dance” will each come with their own 2 color hand silk-screened sleeve that will feature a tag and a picture by Ricky Powell. In my opinion, they will look nice enough that you could even frame the sleeve as well.

In that extra time though I look forward to posting many new videos and pictures. I have been lucky enough to spend countless hours discussing Dondi and the early graffiti scene with Mike White [his brother]. I hope to allow anyone who may not know how influential Dondi White was in terms of graffiti and letter style to hopefully check it out further if interested. Even those who do know his work, I hope to share pics and videos that will shed new light on the person who Dondi was [in addition to his art], since he passed away and most will not have ever gotten to meet him. I will be posting numerous new videos, pictures, and stories shortly…

If you want the “D5” I would recommend picking it up as it is getting close to sold out. “Rain Proof Dance” has also been selling extremely well, so thanks for all the support so far. The prints should be in hand by the end of the first week of January, so I will get them shipped out shortly after that. Again, thank you to everyone who has purchased one or a set so far. Everyone who ordered a set will be receiving matching numbers and 2 cardboard sleeves [one for each edition].

Update 12/14: Baurmann Gallery Editions

With each of the previous editions, I have been trying to find the best way to release them so the true fans can get them in their hands. The purpose in trying to make these as affordable as possible is so people can hopefully obtain a high quality piece of artwork from an extremely renowned artist [or emerging artist with future projects] and enjoy it on his or her walls for many years to come.

With each release so far, I have tried to give an initial lower price than even the printer and artist advised on in order to hook up the people and fan base that have and continue to support me so much. I know people who purchase art probably buy a lot of it, so every dollar saved is very important. The “David and Goliath” sold out extremely quickly, so I was happy they went to so many good homes for $150. Our printer [Hard Pressed Studios] has some available for $300 in case anyone missed out. I finally got through all of the emails on the “Cultivate Love” print. Thank you to everyone who purchased on one those too! The last few remaining are now $200 and up on the site for anyone who missed out.

In the future, the MEAR ONE and Dondi White editions will be priced and released as follows:

Basically, a week prior to release, there will be a presale link up with a special price for the fans and collectors who follow this site and other various message boards/art blogs closely.

If the edition sells out immediately like the “David and Goliath”, then we are more than happy to provide that pre-sale price for all available editions. If there are any remaining prints after that week, the edition will be available on the site for the standard release price.  

Also, these editions are truly the hard work of everyone involved! With MEAR’s prints, as a thank you for their efforts, our printers [Hard Pressed Studios] receive 5 copies set back to sell once the edition is sold out for any edition done with them at their shows or through their site. For all Dondi White prints, a portion will be donated to the Dondi White Foundation. These will be available once an edition is sold out, with 100% of the sale price going to the charity “God’s Love We Delivery”.

MEAR ONE: New Canvases Added 12/12

Seven new MEAR ONE canvases are now available on the website for a limited time. This is an extremely nice body of work at very reasonable prices. MEAR does not typically paint many small pieces, and some of the available were done for his Upper Playground PDX show. Especially in comparison to the pricing of his new and upcoming work [which is 50K-100K+], this is a great opportunity to pick up a beautiful MEAR piece before at a very affordable price.
